Wadkin RU15 sliding gap-bed patternmakers’ lathe. Wide variety of Wadkin and aftermarket / custom tooling including Wadkin outboard turning stand, original 30” and 18” steel faceplates, various centres, jaw chuck, massive dovetailed / gibbed 4’ cross-slide extension which easily weighs in at 200lbs, radius turning jigs, and Wadkin tool-post cutters. Very good overall condition and runs quiet for a geared lathe. Note: this lathe weighs 3500lbs and takes up a lot of real estate but will turn a 6' diameter sphere or 8' between centres without opening up the sliding bed. Lathe comes with a 1-phase 3hp motor and will need some repair & improvement to the switchgear, but nothing expensive. Also comes with the original manual and engineering drawings provided by Wadkin to its original owner, the National Research Council in Ottawa. $4000
