The organizing committee is excited to host this year’s Esquimalt Ribfest on September 5th, 6th and 7th at Bullen Park in Esquimalt and they look forward to having an even greater impact on charities in the community. The six big-rig BBQ companies along with 8 local craft brewers are ready to go. They will be joined by over 20 other charitable and commercial vendors for this three day event. There are 20 local bands committed for the entertainment. Admission is free or by donation to the Esquimalt Fire Fighters’ Charitable Foundation and we look forward to seeing everyone at Ribfest 2025.

Camosun Chargers Golf Tournament – September 26

The Camosun Chargers Golf Tournament is the largest fundraiser for the college athletics program and has raised over $60,000 since 2022. One-hundred precent of the money raised goes directly to the athletes to help with travel and accommodation costs and overall athlete experience.

This fun, 9-hole scramble tournament features multiple on-course activities, pre-round games, and post-round bar-be-que by Little Piggy Catering, all backed by the stunning backdrops at Highland Pacific Golf Course.

Join us on Friday, September 26 for a fantastic afternoon/evening to support Camosun Chargers athletes!

Belfry Theatre presents 1979 – September 9 – October 5

Belfry Theatre opens its 50th Anniversary Season with Michael Healey’s sharp political satire, 1979.

December 13, 1979: the day of the parliamentary vote on Joe Clark’s austerity budget. It’s almost certain to bring down his government. A parade of politicians, including Pierre Trudeau, John Crosbie, and Flora Macdonald—try to offer advice—but honest hapless Joe is determined to stick to his principles—even if it means triggering an election he’s bound to lose.

1979 stars Nathan Howe as Prime Minister Joe Clark, with Jay Hindle and Luisa Jojic playing multiple roles. The Belfry offers Pay What You Want tickets for all performances this season. Tickets are available at 250-385-6815 or online at tix.belfry.bc.ca.

BC SPCA Victoria Offleashed Gala – October 4

Offleashed celebrates the joy of animals in our lives, champion the programs that serve people and their animals in our area, and support the BC SPCA’s lifesaving work. Featuring the cutest Cuddle Lounge full of sweet animal ambassadors, the most thoughtfully curated silent and live auction items, along with chef inspired food and drinks, and most importantly you, our caring guests. Join us at Offleashed Victoria 2025 and make a significant and meaningful impact in the lives of people and animals in our community. Purchase your tickets here.

With another year of the Westcoast Motorcycle Ride to Live approaching, Island Prostate Centre is reflecting on the incredible impact that this event has had over the last 15 years.
