I severely injured both wrists several years ago and can no longer lift or paddle my beloved boat. I've taken two 10-day trips and many shorter trips and can attest to how well the boat tracks and handles. Given the mahogany laminate construction, the boat isn't suitable for surf-landings that involve crashing onto the beach, or dragging the boat into the water to launch. Taking a bit of care with launching or landings has never been an issue for me, but important for any buyer to be aware. Comes with a comfort seat and custom made sunbrella cover for UV protection. The hull was professionally revarnished and hasn't be used since so it has no scratches. If you want to try the boat out, you'll need to arrange transport as I no longer have a car or rack capable of transporting. Length: 17' 6" Width: 23" Volume: 353 liters Cockpit Dimensions (L × W): 33.00 × 17.00" Deck Height: 12" Materials: mahogany laminate / glass Activity Type: Touring, Expedition Water Type: Flat/Sheltered Water, Open Water/Ocean, River/Creek (Up to Class II) Duration: Day Trip, 2-3 Day Trip, Extended Trip Skill Level: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced Ideal Paddler Size: Average Adult, Larger Adult I understand Pygmy went out of business during COVID but here's the manufacturer's Website for reference: http://www.pygmyboats.com/boats/coho-kayak-kit.html The following reviews speak for themselves - https://paddling.com/reviews/product/pygmy-boats-coho-kit-kayak/ https://www.pygmyboats.com/reviews/coho-full-revue.html Voted Best Wooden Kayak by Sea Kayaker Magazine's Reader's Choice "The Coho has been on the market for 14 years and hasn't lost any of its appeal. When we reviewed the Coho in 1998, it drew high praise from a 5'2" woman and a 6'2" man alike... For our reviewers the Coho was 'beautifully responsive' and 'tracked quite well.' One put it 'on the top of my list for an expedition-style kayak. I would recommend it to anyone.'" Coho Review, in Sea Kayaker Magazine "Of all of the boats I have reviewed, the Coho is my hands-down favorite. The combination of light weight and superb handling make this a wonderful boat. It is a good-tracking cruising boat I would recommend to anyone, whether novice or an experienced paddler.”(VS).
