This is a rugged Carlisle Tripper paddle - aluminum (plastic coated) shaft and plastic blades. Excellent for rescue practice - don't break your carbon paddle doing paddle float rescues! It would also be a 100% reliable option as a spare paddle on the deck. I have seen broken carbon blades after getting jammed between rocks - this is the tool for playing in rough stuff.
