I spent far more than I am asking to purchase this scooter by renting a truck & travelling too & from the lower mainland to pick it up. It is essentially a one owner scooter, as all I did was deliver it to the Island from the mainland &, put it in storage for the winter & rode it less than 120 kms this past summer. I purchased it with 470 kms on it & it has currently only been ridden gently for 588 kms. I am very reluctant to sell it but I also own a Vespa GTS 300 & the Yamaha S-Max 155 almost keeps up with my Vespa 300 but is lighter & easier to handle & more stable with its 13" wheels. That is why I had a hard time listing it for sale & hung onto it for so long. I don't need two scooters & one needs to go. This scooter is as new & in immaculate showroom condition & comes with a new top of the line, heavy duty cover that I purchased from Barnes Powersports for $200. These scooters are very rare & difficult to find since Covid hit & this is perhaps the finest example for sale in Canada. These scooters have not been imported to Canada since & it has been impossible to order or purchase a new one from any Yamaha dealer for the last couple of years & they have no idea when they will start to get new ones in stock. I searched from here to Manitoba for this bike & as I mentioned, it is possibly the finest, newest, lowest mileage example of this scooter in western Canada if not the entire country. I finally found it in the lower mainland last winter. The original owner purchased it new for his wife in the fall of 2021 & stored until the spring/summer of 2022. As previously mentioned, it has only been ridden gently & briefly the summer of 2022 by the original owner & me this past summer of 2023 & is only 1/3 of the way through its break-in period of 1600 kms. It has always been garage stored over winter, though you can ride year round on the Island with the exception of possibly a few weeks. Appraised by Barnes Powersports at much higher than I am asking, (mid $5000 range) this is a perfect "do~it~all" Island bike. Quick & nimble in the city & smooth, fast & stable on the highway. Top speed of 120 kmph, Averages 100 mpg on regular gas & will cruise all day at 100 kmph. Acres of practical storage. It is ideal in the city, a perfect commuter, capable of cruising on the highway up & down the Island, a fantastic inexpensive way to explore the Gulf Islands or travel to the Mainland.
