ABOUT THE ROLE: As a part of The Drake team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring every guest has a great experience, from the moment they walk in to the moment they leave. Here’s what you’ll be doing: -Mixed role: Full-time staff are cross-trained to work shifts in both the kitchen and front of house, creating a strong, supportive, and dynamic team. -In the kitchen: Assist with food preparation and cooking, ensuring every dish meets our high standards. -In the front of house: Welcome guests, take orders, prepare drinks, deliver food, and provide recommendations on our rotating menu and craft beer selections. -Teamwork: Collaborate with a small, dedicated team in a fast-paced, fun environment where everyone supports one another. WHAT YOU BRING: -Positive attitude: You bring a positive energy, and are able to keep your cool during busy periods. -Strong communication: You can connect with guests and work well with fellow team members. -Adaptability: You’re eager to learn and flexible in handling different tasks. -Team player: You understand that a great team makes for a great shift, and you’re always ready to lend a hand. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: -Kitchen skills: Prior experience with food preparation techniques and food safety practices in a restaurant. -Service skills: Previous experience with restaurant service or another customer service role. -Craft beer expertise: A passion for craft beer and familiarity with various styles to provide informed recommendations. OUR CRAFT BEER PROGRAM: We carefully source the best examples of each beer style from independent craft breweries. With 29 constantly rotating taps, we keep the selection fresh and exciting. We prioritize staff education to provide expert guidance and deliver the ideal craft beer experience to our guests. OUR FOOD PROGRAM: We partner with local farms, specialty producers, and foragers to create an approachable yet meticulously crafted menu. Led by Chef Chris Klassen, who brings experience from award-winning restaurants The Courtney Room and Agrius, we deliver the same quality in a casual, social setting. Expect to work with the best seasonal ingredients, with a focus on preservation, fermentation, and a frequently rotating menu.
