We are looking for an experienced and passionate Cook to join our team at Saigon Charbroil ( Esquimalt) Restaurant. The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for food preparation, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating delicious meals, following recipes, and adhering to health and safety standards. We are looking for someone who is organized, creative, and detail-oriented to join our team. Responsibilities: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies Inspect kitchens and food service areas Order supplies and equipment Supervise kitchen staff and helpers Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment Clean kitchen and work areas Manage kitchen operations Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Schedule: Monday to Friday Supplemental pay types: Tips Education: Secondary School (preferred) Experience: Cooking: 1 year (preferred) Language: English (preferred) Licence/Certification: Food Handler Certification (preferred) Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred) Shift availability: Day Shift (preferred) Work Location: 1205 Esquimalt Road, Esquimalt, BC V9A 3P1 Expected start date: as soon as possible.
