For Sale 2013 BMW R1200RT. The last year BMW made the air/oil cooled engine before going to water cooled. The 2010-2013 used the same engine as the HP2 sport and is a definite improvement over the previous RTs. This is just a very comfortable, fun, precise handling motorcycle, with plenty of punch when you need it. My previous bike was a 2005 BMW R1200RT that we put over 100,000 miles on touring western Canada and the US as far south as San Diego. The 2005 was a great bike, and we would probably still have it, but an acquaintance was selling his mint 2013 with very low miles, so we bought it. Unfortunately, we were only able to do a couple of trips on this bike before I was injured on my pedal bike, and then Covid hit, so we stayed close to home. I just turned 70 this year and we reluctantly decided to hang up our helmets and let someone else enjoy this beautiful machine. You can do a simple search to get all the spec for the 2013 R1200RT, so I won’t repeat them here. It has all the options including radio, heated seats and grips, cruise control, stability control, suspension control, etc. With less than 32,820 kms on the clock, I don’t think you’ll find a nicer 2013! One other comment, I’ve used Amsoil synthetic engine and gear oils for over 30 years and feel they are one of the best ways to get a lot of trouble-free miles out of a petrol or diesel engine. Swapping to Amsoil is one of the 1st things I do with any internal combustion engine vehicle I purchase. Below are the upgrades/add-ons I did to the bike while we had it. Some bits I can remove and sell separately if you aren’t interested. Some stay with the bike. The prices quoted are new prices just to give you an idea of replacement cost. The radar/laser, tank bag, and navigator 6 can be sold with or separately from the bike and are not included in the asking price. Only serious offers entertained. No test pilots please. I also have the original screen - FuzeBlocks Power distribution block ($140) - Touratech Engine protector bars ($625 in 2019) - Custom saddle (Rich’s? $500US). You can ride all day in this saddle!
