Over his career, he introduced approximately 2,000 Asian plant species to Western horticulture—many of which transformed botanical gardens and private collections worldwide. Plant Hunting, Volume I serves as Wilson’s autobiographical record of those journeys, blending scientific observation with personal reflection and accounts of the landscapes and cultures he encountered.
