Nanny/Caregiver

Pay: CA$23.00 per hour Job description: Overview: We are seeking a responsible full-time nanny to provide childcare and support for our private household in Victoria, British Columbia. The nanny will be responsible for ensuring a safe and supportive environment and assisting with children's daily routines and activities. Prior experience with young children is essential for success in this position. Hours and Work Setting: -30-40 hours per week in employer's private residence Requirements -Minimum 1 year experience with young children -Valid Drivers License and own transportation to and from the employer -Drivers abstract -Criminal Record Check -Valid CPR and infant resuscitation Certification -Valid First Aid Certification Duties: -Supervise and care for children in the employer's house -Plan and supervise appropriate activities -Prepare and serve meals and snacks for children -Assist with dressing, bathing, and daily routines -Support homework, reading, or educational activities as appropriate -Maintain a safe and healthy environment -Perform light housekeeping duties related to childcare -Walk and provide transportation when needed to local activities or appointments -Communicate effectively with parents about daily activities, concerns, or care needs Skills -Experience working with young children -Ability to cook simple meals and prepare snacks for children -Skills in cleaning and maintaining a tidy environment in children’s areas -Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with families and children Job Type: Full-time Education: -Secondary School Diploma Experience: -Childcare experience: Minimum 1 year -English Licence/Certification: -First Aid Certification -CPR Certification Work Location: In person Job Bank Canada Posting #3481725 Expected start date: 2026-04-01
