Traffic Engineer

Responsibilities: * Design and implement traffic control plans for various transportation projects * Conduct traffic impact studies and analyze data to determine optimal traffic flow * Develop and maintain traffic signal timing plans * General knowledge of relevant transportation planning and traffic engineering policies, practices, and design standards in British Columbia * Utilize CAD software to create detailed drawings and plans * Experience and relationships with British Columbia Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI) is strongly preferred, but not explicitly required. * Manage projects from conception to completion, including budgeting and schedulingExperience: * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field * Minimum of 3 years of experience in traffic engineering or related field * Proficiency in designing traffic plans * Strong knowledge of traffic engineering principles, standards, and practices * Experience with system design and analysis using tools such as ArcGIS * Familiarity with project management methodologies and techniques * Licensed as a Professional Engineer in EGBC.Preferred Skills:Knowledge of transportation planning principles and methodologies We offer competitive compensation packages, including benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
