Tavane Farm is offering horse board starting in 2026. We have 40 years of horse experience. The horses here live in a herd environment. Geldings only need apply and no hard keepers or vices, e.g., cribbing or kicking. No back shoes. The horse will have free roam with the others during the day on approximately 2 acres and is provided a separate paddock for feed times. The horses that reside here are semi-retired so suitable for someone that is looking for a quiet location for their horse to call home. The property is located next to the galloping goose trail for miles of trail riding and a short hack from the Metchosin Community Riding Ring (requires registration at the Community Hall). There is also a 60ft lit sand round pen on the property available for use. Board includes: - two feeds a day of local hay - night feed of grain (provided by owner) - cleaning and water fills - shelters - Space in tack room for saddle, and bridle Provided by owner: - grain and supplements - damage costs to fencing or equipment - horse blankets, fly masks, dewormer - the ability to upgrade to alfalfa/grass mix hay at additional cost to the owner when available. Horse Council of BC (HCBC) insurance and wearing regulation safety equipment - certified riding helmet and boots with a heel is mandatory.
