An amazing survivor piece from the days of 4 channel quadraphonic audio; it hooks up to convert your 2 channel unit into a 4 channel system and would decode “quad” recordings using the several different formats that were in use then. According to period write ups, this is built using all discrete components (no I.c.’s then) and would be considered an ES product, if Sony had been using that moniker back in that time period. A great piece to have in your collection, even if it’s not likely that you’ve got any recordings to reproduce. Likely the only one around here, probably few if any still in Western Canada.
