$35 · Norman Rockwell Plate from the Classic Plate Collection. "Off to School"

This is a Norman Rockwell Plate from the Classic Plate Collection circa 1981. It is titled – Off to School, and depicts a young boy holding onto his ragged straw hat and a young girl arms wrapped around the boy on a horse riding off to school, hence the title –Off to School. Alongside them on the white horse is their lunch in a basket and schoolbooks tied to their side. The Plate measures 8 1/2 inches in diameter and is trimmed in gold. The picture fills the whole plate from edge to edge. It is also numbered # 10661 and certified by the Norman Rockwell Museum. It would make an elegant addition to anyone’s collection of Plates or as that unique gift for any occasion - Birthday, Mother’s Day, Housewarming or just to show one’s Appreciation.
