The detector has served me well, and the right person will get a lot of enjoyment out of hunting the beaches, parks, playgrounds, forests and fields. Always taken good care of it, no damage internally, no malfunctions ever, never dropped, no moisture intrusion, kept stored in sealed bag so no dust/grease/damp gets in. Two coils come with it, a 12" and an 8" sniper , and the depth perception is a clean 2 feet+ in my experience. Connects to bluetooth headphones (not included) and/or pug in. The digital display has background illumination, and several discrepency settings to sort so you can tune it how you please, and for what you please. Its a great detector for anyone whos ineterested seriously, its not a toy and if your a novice it's easily referenced online. I suggest as with any detector to make a small list on your phone or laminated notepad, of metal target readings, but like they say and is true "If you dont dig it, you might not find it" .
