Flooring Helper

Job Summary We are seeking a Flooring Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with floor installations, repairs and sand and refinishing hardwood, preparing floors for installation and other general flooring work. We specialize in hardwood floors and also do some laminate installs. Responsibilities: - Measure and cut flooring materials to fit specific areas - Install flooring materials such as hardwood (glue down and nail installations) and laminate. - Prepare subfloors by removing old flooring, leveling, and cleaning - Follow direction well and attention to detail an asset. Skills: -Willingness to learn a variety of new skills -Able to get yourself to various job locations around greater Victoria OR to Royal Oak Exchange by 7:30am Monday-Friday -Physically able to lift above 50lbs, work heavy machines and stand for long periods of time. - Experience in carpentry and building construction an asset but not required.
