Hourly Wage: Journeyperson (8801+hrs), $41.18/hr base + $4.94 (12% vacation pay) + $2.39 (health fund) + $0.96 (other fund) + $5.24 (pension fund) = TOTAL $54.71 /hr There are opportunities to exceed the union hourly wage for candidates whose performance and experience exceed expectations. Responsibilities: * Design and install commercial duct systems for furnaces, heat pumps and ERV’s. * Order, receive, and stage HVAC equipment and accessories from off-site to project. * Laying out, measuring, and drawing duct fittings for order, in accordance with Lewis Sheet Metal Standards. * Work with our BIM team to design, layout, and order fittings * Mark and cut metal using power tools. * Install all types of sheet metal ventilation. * Install fans and HVAC equipment. * Install grills, registers and diffusers. * Use lifting equipment, handle loads and work at heights. * Read and interpret blueprints. * Other duties as needed may apply. Job Requirements: * Sheet Metal Workers Red Seal Trade Certificate or 3 years experience in commercial sheet metal or HVAC. * Respectful of all people. * HVAC technician experience is an asset. * Valid Driver’s License and abstract. * Physically fit and able to lift 75 lbs. * Proficiency in computer applications. * Excellent communication skills. * Mechanically inclined and has attention to detail. * The ability to work independently and as an essential collaborative team member. * Demonstrates professional care and commitment to quality work. * Enjoys continuous learning. * Criminal record check may be part of the hiring process.
