Hi Fellow Musicians. I have been performing for seniors homes audiences for 6 years either as a duo or trio. I am a rhythm guitarist (mostly accoustic) and mostly just chords and a little finger picking and riffs. The music is the top hits and artists from the past. The famous oldies suited for seniors. We strive to be entertainers first then musicians so we will always use a show format with me as Emcee. I find a trio is the best for the richer more flexible sound so want to find two additions. Ideally you play guitar and can sing but either is okay. If you can handle another instrument that's a bonus, maybe a harmonica, piano or? Hand percussion is necessary too with a good sense of rhythm. (bongos, shakers, cahone?) Rehearsals would be once a week and gigs could be 2-3 per month. Consistent commitment is important and so is compatibility. No doubt you may be retired to fit this schedule. Gigs start in May and end in late Fall. Is this a fit for you? Email first please.
