Frame keeps pack off your back, for ventilation & better weight balance (pack bears on your hips, doesn't hang off your shoulders). Separate upper & lower compartments, plus 4 L cargo pockets, all zippered. This is a great pack for several days of hiking & camping, or even for a single night, and it's in very good condition.
