I have it on two authorities that this statue is made of old ivory circa 1940 -50. Its weight is: 0.648 kg or 1.6.9 oz. I have also been told the inscription under his feet reads: "Chenhua in the great Ming Dynasty." Of course it is not Ming but après Ming. There are no chips. The 5 inch tall statue is smooth to the touch.
