Nicely-kept Jetta with the very economical 2 litre engine. Just did slightly under $2000 worth of maintenance, so it's ready for winter! It's a pleasure to drive, smooth, responsive, and if not fast, at least quick in a darty, flitty kind of way. It's also a very nice looking car. Original paint shines up very well, and there are just one or two minor little dings/scratches. It drives straight and true, and sails up and down the Malahat with ease. Not a perfect car by any means, but it's a very respectable example of the $3-4000 market segment. It also has quite a large trunk with rear seats that fold down so excellent for stowage. Not a lot of options, it's delightfully simple but does have an excellent post-factory sound system.
