The Fast Passage 39 is a proven offshore cruising design by William Garden, and built by Philbrooks Shipyard in Sidney. One example of this design finished in second place in the 1982 BOC solo round the world race, beating a Valiant 40, another highly regarded and similar design. Equally well suited as a coastal cruiser or offshore passage maker, she is safe and comfortable, and sails well in all conditions. Lovingly cared for by the original owners until 2023, she has a beautiful hand-crafted teak interior, spacious galley, double aft cabin, large quarter berth, two large settees in the salon, and a double v-berth forward. We purchased her in 2023 with plans to sail her offshore, and began preparing her for extended cruising. Our plans have changed, so our loss could be your gain. This boat can take you anywhere in comfort and safety, as many of her sisterships have, and continue to do. We sailed her up until late 2023, when work began on a refit, with thousands of hours and well over $15,000 invested so far. I am currently finishing the engine testing and break-in procedure after a full rebuild was completed. Excellent, affordable moorage on southern Vancouver Island may be transferrable with management approval.
