She currently performs as a violinist with Mariachi sin Frontera (the first Mariachi group on Vancouver Island) as well as performing as a violist with Riccio Strings (a chamber ensemble formed during her studies at UVic). In the past she has performed with various fiddle groups, and the Greater Victoria Youth Orchestra. She has been a teaching assistant for the GVYO's summer string camp for multiple years. She has been teaching private lessons regularly since 2020 as well as teaching at music schools in Shawnigan Lake and Saanich. Her students love to request songs or music styles to learn as well as exploring new techniques, music theory, musicianship, composition and different styles of music they may be less familiar with. She mainly uses the Suzuki and RCM methods for violin and viola and the Sound Advice books for music theory, but is open to trying other method books a student may already have or adjusting to a student's learning style. Amanda often arranges and composes music for her students if there is a song they would like to learn or a technique they need more work on. Many of her students choose to complete RCM exams to track their musical progress and some have even acheived the RCM's Gold Medal for their exam results. Her students perform at recitals and performance opportunities that come up at their school or in the community.
