Cover crisp with high sheen and good colors. No loose pages and one minor tear at bottom of front inside page. Back cover has one small puncture hole. Hard cover. Standard size: 3 5/8" x 4 1/2" x 1 1/2"; 432 pages. Author: Peter A. Wyckoff. Artist: Ted Horn (pseudonym for Fred Harman, creator of Red Ryder). COLLECTOR'S NOTE: This book was written and drawn specially for the BLB format. After the first Big Little Book, "The Adventures of Dick Tracy", was published (December 1932), numerous titles were sold through Woolworth's and other retail store systems during the 1930s. With a name change to Better Little Books during 1938, the series continued into the 1960s.
