Rare, 2006, Martin Arts & Crafts Dreadnought. Limited Edition #57 of 100 For many this beautiful instrument has been with me at music festivals and folk clubs here and in the UK, but age is taking its toll and, after two years of my not making music, it is time for someone else to make it sing again. The guitar is in beautiful condition and is truly a compliment to the player. Comes with lots of accessories including full-sized Access hard-shell case cover, Cooper hand-crafted wood stage stand, Kyser capos, Gator gig case, etc., etc. Description: The creation of this guitar was inspired by Chris Martin's visit to the Gamble House in Pasadena California, an Arts & Crafts Period architectural masterpiece. It has a D-size body of beautiful flame mahogany and highly figured bearclaw spruce. Rosewood is used for the body binding and for the decorative, 3 bowtie insets along the center back seam and the small square insets on the body on either side of the heel. In addition to the woods, the most striking feature is the pearl inlay: Both peghead and fingerboard have a thin border of gold mother of pearl embellished with a twist at each corner. Position inlays on the fretboard are gold pearl gingko leaves and a gingko leaf appears on the peghead along with the C F Martin block letter logo. Other appointments include scalloped top braces (5/16" thick), bold herringbone top trim, 3-ring rosette with bold herringbone center ring, ebony pyramid Stauffer bridge with ebony bridgepins, brown "leatherlam" pickguard (made of leather fibers).
