This Deering six string banjo and case costs new over $2,000US so you are getting a great deal here. It is in excellent condition and has hardly been played. It uses the same chords as a guitar so there are no new chords to learn and it tunes the same as a regular guitar. I purchased it to play acoustic delta and country blues tunes on to give it that authentic box car sound from the '30's. Mississippi John Hurt songs like Candy Man and My Creole Belle sound especially haunting on the Deering six string banjo.
