Co-owned by 3 book club friends, Frawg has been well loved and is now looking for her next adventurers! The nitty gritty: Frawg is a 1964 Shark 24’ Hinterhoeller currently moored in Oak Bay Marina (with assumable moorage). LOA: 24 ft; beam 6.83 ft. Displacement: 2,200.00 lb; ballast: 675.00 lb; max draft: 3.16 ft. She comes with one main sail, two foresails (a smaller jib and a genoa that’s about a 130, both hank-on), and a spinnaker, all in good shape. Her lines run back to the cockpit, making her a good boat for solo sailing, but with her sizable cockpit she can comfortably fit four to six sailors when underway. She’s a fun and capable sailor with a hull speed of around seven knots. Frawg’s outboard is a reliable Tohatsu four-stroke that was near new in 2021, and has had minimal running hours put on her in the years since. Frawg has no working electrics or water, but an enterprising person could install them (or leave her stripped down and race her!). She was hauled out in October 2021 and had her bottom painted and some small repairs done. Additional items include a First Aid kit, spare parts and lines, an anchor and rode, a sweet kettle for your tea and coffee, and perhaps most importantly, a set of tablas to make music on the waves. Frawg has seen more adventures than your average coffee table. She’s got character and spunk, and is a fun and safe boat for all levels of sailor. We're not saying she’s "a ship for pirates," but she’s certainly seen her share of fair winds and following seas (and a few not-so-fair ones too).
