Pelagic boats were built by Pelagic Pacific Industries, known as Pelagic which was located out of Victoria BC. Pelagic has a reputation of building vessels with stronger and thicker fibreglass hulls than other companies in that era. Most of these boats were built in the 70's and 80's as fishing vessels. Tanzilla was converted into a pleasure boat. The owner, now deceased, had owned the boat since 1982. Family is now taking care of the boat.
