$60 · 4 Black Bantam Cochins Chicks

$60 for 4 unsexed black bantam cochins chicks. Hatched June 1 from a cross between an exhibition line black cochin hen and a backyard barred cochin rooster. Half the chicks which hatch are black and half are barred (not sex-linked, the cross is the wrong way around for that). As I already have the exhibition line of black cochins, I don't need these black chicks. Due to being from a cross of 2 lines, no guarantee on quality, but they should be some very nice cochins from the exhibition line half of them and a good starting point for wanting to breed towards SOP. Bantam cochins are great birds. Very calm and wonderful with children. They are very laid back and just go with the flow. They have the appearance of being larger than they are due to all the feathers. Due to all this and being poor flyers, they are not suited to be free range. The blue on any of them is due to me marking which eggs they hatched out of. It is just washable marker and will disappear once they grow feathers in. Located in Central Saanich.
