For the first time since the pandemic began, St. Patrick’s Elementary School is welcoming families for an Open House on Feb. 9!
St. Patrick’s is a Catholic private school at 2368 Trent St. in Victoria, near the Royal Jubilee Hospital. They recently finished seismic upgrades and opened their new outdoor classroom, which includes a garden for students to hone their horticultural skills.. It also hosts weekly outdoor Kindergarten classes as well as a place for inspiring young poets!
“Our outdoor classroom program is really popular with our students. They especially love our chickens which we have on-site in the spring,” says Angela McLeish, Vice Principal.
“We are thrilled to be able to invite interested families back into the school environment for our open house and share what a day at St. Patrick’s School is really like!”
St. Patrick’s also recently upgraded its playground with new equipment and completed both interior and exterior renovations. The school offers strong academic, fine arts and athletic programs along with promoting important core values to aid students in becoming compassionate, responsible, kind and caring members of society.
“We believe in supporting our students with an educational environment that allows them to grow spiritually, physically, academically, and emotionally,” McLeish says. “Our students enjoy a well-rounded education and really benefit from our strong athletic and fine arts programs! Every year we take our school track and field team to the provincials in Vancouver and it’s always an exciting and memorable event for students and parents alike!”
