$1,000 · 1981 SIGNED Canada Cup Pennant. Approx. 50 signatures!

1981 Canada Cup Official Pennant signed by various players from Team Canada, Team USA, Team Czechoslovakia, Team Sweden and Team Finland. All the signatures are in black or blue sharpie. Most of the signatures are identified on the back of the pennant. Although some of the signatures aren't clear in the photo, they are actually much better looking. EXTREMELY RARE ITEM. How many of these could exist? This is obviously much rarer than something like team signed baseballs from the past 30+ years. Who carries a pennant around and gets it signed? I can tell you I saw no-one else getting one signed. How many people had access to the team during the Canada Cup? A FANTASTIC display item that would look great framed! During this Canada Cup and others I had a press pass and therefore had access to the morning skates/practices the teams had throughout the tournament. This is when I got this and the other pennants signed. It is signed by: TEAM CANADA: Wayne Gretzky, Denis Potvin, Larry Robinson, Mike Bossy, Mike Liut, Bob Gainey, Bryan Trottier, Guy Lafleur, Ray Bourque, Rick Middleton, Paul Reinhart, Clark Gillies, Butch Goring, Brian Engblom, and trainer Eddie Palchak. Gretzky has actually signed it twice since the first one got smudged so I had him sign it again. TEAM USA: Tony Esposito, Dave Christian, Neal Broten, Mark Johnson, Ken Morrow, Mike O'Connell, Rod Langway and Dave Langevin. TEAM SWEDEN: Ulf Nilsson, Kent Nilsson, Stefan Persson, Peter Lindmark, Thomas Gradin, Anders Kallur, Lars Lindgren, Thomas Eriksson, Patrik Sundstrom, Tomas Jonsson, Lars Molin. Sundstrom and Nilsson each signed it twice. TEAM FINLAND: Jari Kurri, Matti Hagman TEAM CZECHOSLOVAKIA: Milan Novy NOTE: It is signed by another 8-10 players which I didn't identify on the back at the time and with so many signatures on the pennant it's difficult now to sort them all out but it may be possible with careful study to figure more out.
