1942 BOAT PROPELLER & PLAQUE. Acquired from a demolition of a life boat at The Dock & Slipway, Eel Pie Island, The River Thames, London, England. Eel Pie Island is famous for the old hotel on the island where British rock bands played and hung out (such as: The Rollin Stones, The Kinks, Eric Clapton and Rod Stewart, to name a few). The life boat was made by Lane Life Boat & Davit Corp., New York, N.Y. in 1942. Propeller and Plaque are solid brass, mounted on a walnut plaque, with black wood frame 10 1/2"x 15 1/2".
