Sign Fabricator / Sign Assembler

Sign Fabricator / Sign Assembler Landmark Sign is currently seeking for a Sign Fabricator / Sign Assembler for a manufacturing of illuminated and non-illuminated signs. Duties and responsibilities • At all times, maintain an organized and tidy workstation • Always wear appropriate safety wear when applicable, for example, earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, facial shields/masks • Read carefully and understand applicable quality control documents at assigned workstations for product you are responsible for. Including discrepancies in work orders to drawings, measurements, material, etc. • Sign in and check off on applicable quality control documents after performing necessary quality check tasks • While handling products during various stages; packaging, sorting, clipping, welding, etc. Reject any piece that is not of set quality standards • Ensure all product packaging at every stage is of utmost quality, with the final stage being of the utmost importance • Promptly report to floor supervisor when the machine you are assigned to is down • Review work orders carefully and ensure that every detail of the job is understood – ask questions for clarification if instructions are not clear to ensure accuracy • Ensure the accuracy of specification prior to production • Assembly of signs and/or repairs to existing signs • Comfortable with the use of hand power tools for various tasks • Perform other duties as assigned or required from time to time • Inspect signage and advise supervisor immediately of any issues • Interpret drawings provided, including all measurements • Assist with loading and unloading of trucks • Driving to and from sites • Communicate politely and effectively with the public, customers, and or co-workers • Complete any paperwork required • Maintain a safe and orderly work environment • Photograph all projects once completed • Understand and comply with all company policies and training including Health and Safety Skills and Qualifications • Valid Driver’s License • Able to work individually and in a team environment • Experience with both imperial and metric measurement in both decimal and fractions is a must • Comfortable working on and using ladders • General constructions/assembly skills • Attention to detail • Able to work independently in-house and on job sites • Experience in the sign installer/labourer or similar industry preferred • Vinyl installation experience (preferred but not necessary) • Team work • Versatility • Meticulousness • Wiring background and/or electronic assembly is an asset Requirements • Sign industry experience is a strong asset • Good work ethic • Knowledge and experience with various hand and power tools • Ability to lift 50lbs, large product, multi-person lift, • Communication skills, verbal and written • Punctuality and diligence • Be tidy and organized Sign Assembly • Read work orders or receive verbal instructions and act according • Measure, fit and assemble aluminum signs, using hand tools • Ensure proper placement of illuminated (LED) according to engineered drawings • Final inspection to ensure product is complete to work order and customer standards • Wiring and some electrical assembly of product • Fast paced, busy environment JOB TYPES: • Monday – Friday • Day shifts • Overtime Salary: $18.00-$30.00 per hour. • Rate to pay to be determined by experience.
