Meet up mornings near Fort and Cook. Selling lots of good items at fair and firm prices, click on my photo for listings. Well made to last, If you want something that will last for many years this is it! Made by the Gloria Manufacturing Ltd. Japan. There is a photo explaining the three dots in the bottom of the glass liner. Excellent condition, no stains or smells. Very clean. It weighs about 1.75 pounds. The glass liner retains heat very well, quality made in Japan! It’s easy to use without removing the lid, just turn the lid counter-clockwise half way to the white raised “dot” pointing to the spout, and to lock just turn clockwise. Pours really well without dripping! I don’t know the age but that makes no difference to the quality. Actually the thermal carafes made earlier are much better at retaining heat. They used better quality materials. I did a “heat retention” test by preheating the carafe and then putting boiling water (210F) water in. After 2 hrs 200F After 8 hrs 180F After 18 hrs 160F After 20 hrs 150F According to the web “the preferred drinking temperature of coffee is specified in the literature as 120-140F. So even after 20 hours it is still hotter than the recommended drinking temperature. Stays hot longer than you need it to likely! Cold liquids would stay colder for a much longer period .
