No rust or chips etc. NO PLASTIC! Solid clamp style as opposed to the suction ones that often slip. I’ve had it for years but just don’t use it now with my arthritis, it'll last for your lifetime! They used to be made in both Canada and the USA, but there’s no info on it and I’ve long forgotten the manufacturer. Now they’re made “off-shore” and they’re the suction ones, not the same quality at all.
