Meet up mornings near Fort and Cook . Selling lots of good items at fair and firm prices, some free with purchase, click on my photo for listings. The thermal carafe is $67.71 with tax, see link. This would make a very good quality gift for someone as new. Japan makes very high quality products that are made to last, and they do! If you want something that will last for many years this is it! Barring dropping it on a very hard floor it’ll last a lifetime! Zojurishi is a very well known manufacturer of very high quality kitchen products, both electrical and non electrical. The best actually! There is a photo explaining the three dots in the bottom of the glass liner. “The Thermal Serve Carafe features a high quality vacuum glass liner with excellent heat retention and easy-to-use twist open stopper. It also accommodates coffee filter cones for direct brewing. Its sleek design is ideal for home or office use.” Excellent new condition because it was never used! The glass liner retains heat very well, quality made in Japan to last! It’s easy to use without removing the lid, just turn the lid counter-clockwise half way to the raised “dot” pointing to the spout, to lock turn clockwise. Pours really well without dripping! Click on the amazon link for further detail. I did a “heat retention” test by preheating and then putting boiling water (210F) water in the carafe. After 3 hours the temperature was 196F After 7 hours 181F After10 hours 172F After 21 hours 149F According to the web “the preferred drinking temperature of coffee is specified in the literature as 120-140F. So even after 21 hours hours it is still hotter than the recommended drinking temperature. Stays hot longer than you need it to likely! Cold liquids would stay colder for a much longer period . https://www.amazon.ca/Zojirushi-AHGB-10DWB-Thermal-Serve-Carafe/dp/B07F247H9L/ref=asc_df_B07F247H9L?mcid=67073e3790673e1286ef5f567781b965&tag=googlemobshop-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=706745778436&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1812849742896342087&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9001599&hvtargid=pla-709265881874&psc=1&hvocijid=1812849742896342087-B07F247H9L-&hvexpln=0&gad_source=1
