The high quality Akai stereo components were made in the 1980s and still perform well. - Akai AP-D40 full-auto direct drive turntable. - Akai AA-R50 amplifier/tuner/stereo receiver. The Sony 5-channel surround sound speakers are from the early 2000s: 4 x SS-MSP2 and 1 x SS-CNP2. There are some small tears in the corners of the grill fabric on two of the speakers, but nothing that affects performance. Note that there is no place to plug in the single SS-CNP2 centre speaker at the back of the Akai receiver, which only has 4 speaker connectors, so it could be used for another application, or the speakers could be used separately from the stereo.
