I have at least 4 pairs, possibly more, of quail Belgian d'Anvers for sale. This great bantam breed is full of personality and great pets, especially if worked with a bit. Many of these birds were raised by 4-H members for me (I leased chicks to members, they then choose their trio for their projects, and returned the others back to me). These birds are not what I'm looking for for my breeding program. As these are smaller bantams, they would do best with other bantams, but could do well with calm standards. Males are 2025 hatches. The cockerels either have a crooked middle toe on one foot (developed at 2ish months old, not sure what happened), or are just not what I'm looking for for breeding. Females can be either 2025 pullets, not laying yet, a Jan 2025 pullet who has been laying since June, or 2024 hens which may be actively laying (I'm getting eggs from the group, but no guarantees on who specifically is actively laying). The 2024 hens hatched in June/July 2024. All the females are a bit darker than I'd like for my breeding goals. $50 for pair with 2025 pullets, $45 for pairs with 2024 hens. Would be willing to make a deal for multiple pairs. I can provide my photos as requested. Located in Central Saanich. I will be at the Cobble Hill fair this Saturday (Aug 23) and at the Salt Spring Fair on Sept 6, so could bring birds to those fairs if organized in advance. I will also be at the Saanich Fair with a bunch of d'Anvers if you would like to see the breed in person. I also have extra cockerels available for free.
