Hello everyone, My name is David, and I am reaching out for help in what is undoubtedly the most challenging time of my life. In 2018, I suffered a heart attack that left me physically and mentally unable to continue my career. Since then, life has been a series of uphill battles, but none as overwhelming as what I face now. In March 2023, an electrical fire tore through my home, destroying everything in its path. To make matters worse, the home owner, my roommate, had neglected to pay the insurance premiums, leaving the policy void. Everything I had worked for was gone in an instant. For the past six years, I've had to come to terms with living a very humble life on an income of $1230 per month. After paying for rent, wifi, and my cell phone, I'm left with only $100. It has been incredibly tough, and there is no getting used to living like this. Six weeks ago, I received devastating news: my mother, who lives across the country in Ontario, was diagnosed with lung cancer. Despite her strength and determination, opting for chemotherapy and radiation, her condition has worsened. Just a week ago, her doctor informed me that she now has stage 3 brain cancer, which is very aggressive, and it has spread throughout her body. She is being moved to palliative care, and as of tomorrow, there will be no further medical intervention. Her doctor has urged me to visit as soon as possible to spend some precious moments with her. However, with my limited financial means, I cannot afford to make the trip. It breaks my heart to think that I might not get the chance to tell her how much I love her and what a great mother she has been. Her husband passed away a few years ago, and she has had to go through this alone. This is where I humbly ask for your help. I am trying to raise funds to cover the cost of travel to Ontario so that I can be by her side during her final days. Any contribution, no matter how small, will bring me closer to seeing my mother one last time and giving her the comfort of knowing her son is there with her. Please send your donation by e-mail transfer to the following address: timesaretough24@outlook.com To make it easy use the first name of the donor as the password to deposit the funds. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Your support means the world to me, and I will be eternally grateful for any help you can provide. With heartfelt thanks, David
