Hello, my name is Louise and I am the owner of a growing in-person and online tutoring and wellness company operating in the Nanaimo/Ladysmith area. I have thirty+ years of experience as a certified BC Teacher, Counsellor, Learning/Assessment Specialist and Vice Principal, (BEd, CRP, & more recently as an ADHD Coach). I work with a small team of semi retired teachers offering focused, informed, and professional tutoring, counselling, homeschooling, and IEP related services out of a fully-resourced learning studio near the Nanaimo airport. We are an invested and experienced team providing K-12+ virtual or direct, group, and one-to-one academic support from 9 am - 8:30 pm Monday through Saturday. (Our teaching aligns with the K-12 BC curriculum, SIDES/NIDES, Island Connected Ed and OnlineSchool.ca). We are also able to support post secondary students in English/Humanities, improving executive functions, notes consolidation/scribing, and interagency networking. We also welcome our Certified Breathwork/Pilates/Yoga & Nutrition Specialist, Certified Coach and Trainer-Michael from Ember Heart Health, (michael@emberhearthealth.com), as part of our growing wellness team. Having worked with public schools in BC for many years, and having raised children who have completed their schooling into post-secondary studies, I understand the challenges that face our kids and our education system. For some, our schools just move too quickly or don't have the resources to support different learning styles and challenges. For others, the demands of homework and adopting academic routines are the only things keeping them from improved understandings and higher grades. Skilled and focused tutoring can help. We can tailor a program that helps your students build confidence in a supportive and fun-loving way.
