Shelter: BC SPCA - Victoria Branch Animal ID: 554014 Birthdate: August 17, 2012 - Adult Spayed/Neutered: No Male Meet Yoko! This sweet fellow recently came to the Victoria Branch of the BC SPCA and is eagerly awaiting a new home! Yoko is not used to being handled frequently and would benefit from choice-based handling and slow socialization. Yoko can find it stressful to have his tank located in a busy area and would do better in a low-traffic home. Yoko was obese prior to coming into care but is slowly starting his diet of fresh greens and bugs! He will need to follow a reduced feeding plan and get lots of exercise to help him lose that excess weight so he can live a happy healthy life! Below are some tips on choice based handling! https://iaabcjournal.org/choice-control-and-training-for-ectotherms/ Yoko will need a suitable enclosure of at least 40 gallons (breeder tank) prior to adoption. If you are interested in Yoko please email the Victoria branch at Victoria@spca.bc.ca for an application! A photo of Yoko's future enclosure will be required before Yoko can go home to ensure it is suitable for his needs!
