This would make a very unique gift for someone special, for a couple on their wedding day, or for yourself: a crystal pitcher engraved by a master artist. A spectacular crystal pitcher with hand-etched floral and leaf patterns around the body, and a lovely starburst shape on the bottom. The pitcher is perfect for holding liquids like salad dressing, gravy, or any other type of sauce. It would also look charming on an afternoon tea table, to use as milk, cream, or chocolate sauce holder. The pitcher is heavy and beautifully crafted. This item was engraved by John Lloyd, an artist engraver who was awarded the British Empire Medal by the Queen. In the 1970s, John was in his 90s and had worked for 81 years. In 1956, Lloyd was praised for mastering the craft of cutting and engraving in the book "British Table and Ornamental Glass". Newspaper articles about his life and work are included with this item.
