Normally at this time of year, the VDRC would be gearing up for our annual Artists with Disabilities Showcase in December, an event that celebrates both local artists with disabilities and the United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities. However, we are having to change our approach to the show due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As much as we are eager to once again have the chance to see each other and each other's art in person, we feel it is still too risky. That being said, we would still like to maintain the spirit and tradition of the show in some form. Therefore, in lieu of our regular Artists with Disabilities Showcase this year, we will be holding the show entirely online on social media. We would love it if you would consider being a part of it! The only qualification needed to enter in the show is to be a person who identifies as having a disability. Apart from that, there are no restrictions in terms of medium, size, or artistic ability, we just ask that any pieces submitted be appropriate for viewing in a public setting. The deadline for entries is Friday, November 12th. If you are interested in applying, you can do so by filling out the Google form at the following link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe5DZ5wikAtWMrsHQf9xUmboiSWZWeTtmEDbNjJCI1kF0mW2g/viewform?usp=sf_link or by emailing your name and images of your artwork to email@example.com, along with the titles and descriptions of each piece (title, medium, size, and short description about it).
