Helpers Wanted Project HayBale is a project involving Dean Rebneris in rural Saanich. Our goal, working together, will be to obtain and acquire 2o hay bale donations from Peninsula and Capital Region pasture lands for use in Fall 2025 Community Festivals in Victoria B.C. We'll store the bales at a Barn in rural Saanich and make our first delivery to the FairField Fall Fete September 21st 12-4 at Fairfield Gonzales Community Place. https://fairfieldcommunity.ca/events-projects/fall-fairfield/ "Hi, I'm Dean Rebneris, a market gardener and farmer in rural Saanich. Over the last few decades I have volunteered to donate, deliver, and retrieve a truck load of Square Hay Bales to various Festivals in Victoria during September and October. Over the years I have built up a good collection of hay bales from Capital Regions pasturelands but need to restore the collection beginning from scratch for this Fall Season. If you would be interested to help me, we would be able to recommit to Festival Organizers desire for having Hay for their events. If you are interested you might also like to review the "Growing a Healthy Future for B.C. Farm Families" especially where the Executive Summary talks about Bridging the Urban Agriculture Divide. This is the plan I navigate from. https://www2.foodsecurecanada.org/sites/www2.foodsecurecanada.org/files/Agriculture_Plan.pdf 3 Outcomes of the Project will be to Restore Trust, ReBuild Relationships, and Support Farmer Mental Health and Safety. I hope to hear from you and join me in finding and gathering 20 Hay Bales. Sincerely, Dean Rebneris
