Victoria Arion Male choir is seeking new members for our 2025 - 26 season

Attention all Male Singers: You are invited to our open house Sept 8th 15, 22. Cordova Bay Church 813 Claremont Ave. 7:00pm- 9:00pm The Victoria Arion Male Choir is one of the newest choirs in Victoria, BC. In the summer of 2018, the Arion Male Voice Choir (founded 1892) and the Victoria Male Voice Choir (1907) chose to unite into a new choir. The two choirs came to the realization that they could better fulfill their dreams of being “a community of men singing for health and joy” as one group rather than two. It is an exciting new venture which is already proving to be a great success both musically and organizationally. Our mission is to maintain the great tradition of male-voice choral music, and to share that music through two or more public concerts each year. We also perform at seniors’ residences, at the Victoria Remembrance Day ceremony, and at other public events. We support music education through our choral scholarship program, which allows up to four student musicians to sing with us each year. We welcome new members: come and share with us the joy of choral music! Our musical director, Sean Lampard-Quicke, joined us in 2020 and our collaborative pianist, Jennifer Mitchell joined the choir in 2019. We are actively seeking new singers for our non-audition choir starting in September 2024, with open houses on Monday September 8th 15th and 22nd. The choir sings four-part- harmony and our repertoire covers classical, spiritual, folk, and contemporary music. We meet Mondays at 7:00 pm at Cordova Bay United Church, 813 Claremont Ave. We also are looking for choral scholars.
