1979 Honda CBX 1000 VIN # CB-12021253 Frame # 2021253 Engine # CB1E-2021394 A beautiful example of the legendary 1979 Honda CBX 1000 inline six cylinder motorcycle. A mechanical masterpiece. Being sold by third owner this Canadian model was originally sold by Blackfoot Motorcycles in Calgary, Alberta. It shows 27,700 km on the odometer. Because of low compression which is common to early Hondas; an engine rebuild was performed by CBX Motorworks of Dunnellon, Florida, USA. Since rebuild the present owner has ridden it 750 km at break-in RPM as stipulated by engine re builder. Engine re build consisted of cylinder bore/hone .50mm over, valve job with new valves/springs and associated parts. Engine compression now 185 psi across all cylinders as compared to pre re build of 118 - 120 psi. Other parts: Dyna ignition, coils, and wires. Ohlins shocks. Denso alternator conversion. New front and rear tires 4 k/km on tires. Michelin. Delkevic 6-2 exhaust. New 630 chain and sprockets. Racimex oil cooler. Deep sump oil pan. Custom fit windscreen. Known issues: Carburetors need synchronizing for hanging idle, lazy speedometer slow to display correct speed.
