Victoria News is currently hiring for 2 Part Time Field Representatives. These positions will be responsible for recruiting and supporting the newspaper’s carrier force, serving as their main liaison along with the circulation co-ordinator at Victoria News. This is a remote contract position 2-3 days per week, working in-office only for flyer copying, and meeting two or three times a month with the circulation co-ordinator in the office located at 818 Broughton St in Victoria. Responsibilities will also include delivering down routes, maintaining boxes, delivering VIP papers, flyering, and assisting with urgent and/or missed deliveries and pick-ups. The successful candidate must possess strong communication skills, enjoy working with kids and teens and have some working experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Google Maps. A good knowledge and familiarity with the Victoria and Esquimalt area will be an asset. This person must have: • Excellent customer service & communication skills • Strong organizational and time management skills • Proactive problem-solving skills • The ability to multi-task and work independently • A reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence. A Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check is also mandatory.
