My brother is in urgent need of an unfurnished bachelor or 1 bedroom apartment/suite in Greater Victoria – anywhere from James Bay/Fairfield to Saanich. Long term preferred. My brother's life has been marked by profound loss and displacement. Last February 2023, he and our mother experienced the devastating loss of their home in a fire, the only real home he's ever known. Unfortunately, our mother fell ill during the winter and passed away this spring. My brother can stay in our mom’s rental until the end of July – possibly August, but after that, he'll have no where to go. We are urgently seeking a compassionate landlord who has a deeper understanding of the life challenges and is willing to offer my brother a chance for stability and a fresh start. Despite the adversity he has faced, he remains resilient and committed to rebuilding his life. About my brother: Quiet demeanor but funny, pretty much keeps to himself, likes to tinker, occasionally play guitar and loves good food and TV. Not employed (PWD), but rent will be guaranteed by the Estate. A crucial requirement from a landlord would be good and communication and clear expectations, compassion and patience. My brother has never really lived on his own and might need time to acclimate to a new living situation. Proximity to public transportation and basic amenities would be greatly appreciated.
