Base Prices: $385 month, for up to 2 ponies Prices are firm . Please note; this is primarily a land lease' only. The existing buildings , fencing and footings are in decent shape, but older, so come 'as is'. You will be responsible for any upgrades, repairs or additions you want to make to them. There is electricity to the site to set up an electric fencer, and a water tap- Included in the rent : 1 fenced paddocks with pea gravel and gravel footings , and 3 sided matted shelter, hay storage for 20 bales -There is no pasture , but some grass around for nibbles. - You have unlimited non commercial* use of our fabulous 55 ×150' Drained Sand Riding Ring with hillside views. . No lights , but you can put up and plug in your own set. *Additional commercial use ring fees apply, for coaching or training, or bringing in a coach- =$10 per lesson or training session, per rider. Proof of coaches insurance required. - Water and hydro up to $20 month is included . -Manure disposal on site if not planning on using bedding. Month to month lease, 1/2 months damage deposit upon booking. 1 month lease minimum. As a Renter you provide all your own supplies and are responsible for all daily care of your horse(s) including feeding, paddock cleaning as follows: 1) 1x Daily Provision of nutritional care including providing 24/7 hay in slow feeder nets and fresh water. 2) 1x Daily Paddock cleaning -Regular manure without bedding can be composted on site for the garden, but if, you are using using stall bedding, you must provide your own 'off site' manure disposal. - 3) Basic repairs and upkeep to any areas, fencing and buildings you use. Replace any broken or chewed fence boards your pony damages. You will need to maintain the electric strand on the existing board fences. 4) Care and maintenance of the riding ring, if you use it, ( weed whacking and branch cutting around the fence lines and fencing repairs .There is a ring harrow here available for borrowing if you have a quad or lawn tractor..or sturdy beast to pull it. As this is a very compact facility with limited turnout , we are looking for quiet, vice free, fence respecting mare or gelding in regular work, or being rehabbed. No chewers or weavers . Must be ok with walking up and down hills, as the riding ring is located on a hill. Note : Horses here must be in a regular vet and farrier program. We are also looking for responsible owners who live locally in the Sooke/ Metchosin area and can provide: *References for yourselves from your current or previous boarding barn and or rental. We can also provide references on our end, from previous happy boarders and our farrier(s). **Note Coming to attend to your horse just 1x day is perfectly ok with us , providing your horses always have access to fresh water and slow feeder hay nets 24/7.** HCBC and signed liability waivers required for all who work with the horses here . Children under 16 and dogs welcome under adult supervision only. No smoking anywhere on the property.
