MacPherson Adams, Chartered Professional Accountants, is a deep-rooted public accounting firm located in Greater Victoria specializing in accounting, tax and advisory services. We have a new position open for an “in-house” bookkeeper as our firm continues to find ways to improve our service to clients. If you’re the one for us, you will be responsible for: • Full cycle bookkeeping for a broad range of clients, using third-party desktop and online accounting software applications (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, etc.) • Communicating with clients to assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual bookkeeping • Assisting in the preparation and filing of T-slips If you’re the one for us, you should have: • Superb data entry skills • Experience working with various accounting software applications and expertise in at least one of QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or other. • An aptitude for technology, who can adapt to changing technology trends • The ability to form positive relationships with clients and fellow team members • Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills • The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment • The ability to remain calm in a high-pressure environment and meet deadlines without compromising accuracy • The ability to present themselves in a professional manner • A mindset that is committed to continuous learning and personal growth We have great resources to help you further develop your skills in bookkeeping and accounting services.
